Artist Statement - I am an artist/designer living NYC.  I was born and raised in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.  I have been working with paper since I was a child.  I would wake up in the middle of the night and choose papers to create with from a box of magazines my mother kept for us for our school projects.  When I was about 8 my aunt gave me my first origami set, which introduced me to paper as an artistic expression.  Although I have studied art and design in Puerto Rico, South Korea, Paris, Los Angeles and New York, I am a self-taught paper sculptor and graphic designer.
