Birey, owner and lead designer of Flotsam+Jetsam, is an accomplished aesthete; her love of raw space, conscientious renovation
and design discovery is the cornerstone of her extensive and varied practice. The textile studio, the gallery, as well as
the interior design practice, endeavors not only to show, but to elevate a perspective on the current practicing landscape
of contemporary art and design. We are proud to announce that the textile studio just published its first catalog featuring our unique approach to decorative pillow design and surface treatment which may be viewed by clicking the image above. The catalog also includes a sneak-peek of our current focus, digital textiles. Flotsam+Jetsam practices a hybrid of interior architecture, art and textile design. Interior architeture portion is responsible for estate and historic renovations, as well as the transformation of boutiques, restaurants and cafes around the Philadelphia area. The Flotsam+Jetsam aesthetic hails from European simplicity and efficiency and the studio thrives on the beauty of re-purposed objects, color, and the unique identities of architectural space. This design house strives to reinvent interior design solutions and dares to take on innovational conversion of common home-goods products. |
